I can't believe I'm saying this but Austin was right, perma-death isn't necessarily the end of a character, just the end of that character within a group of players. Some day you can return to him but for now you have to live with what you've done to him.

That doesn't mean you can go back and erase mistakes, especially when so much has happened because of them. Just get over it, Marx. You
don't have to throw everything outside of the RP away because he died in a self-contained RP. You don't need to redefine your online self because your character died in an RP.
You need to learn to accept and deal with mistakes. You will never grow as a person if you don't.

you're not, you just can't be marxon the rp character, because he is dead, you can be anything and anybody else you make up to a degree you just can't be overpowered, in said rp only, you can go anywhere else and be marxon.
Also my grievance isn't only with my screw up, but the freezing cold reception I'm getting.

This wouldn't be "for once" it would be "for the umpteenth time." Which is why we aren't. We had to establish rules for character death due to him constantly writing himself into and back out of the grave, then he wrote himself right through those rules into a permanent death. Hands are tied here, if we let it slide we're setting the precedent that these rules are flexible enough that you can selectively ignore them and get away with it.

Because it's not nonserious. It's semiserious. There are rules in place so everything isn't ridiculous, so characters won't magically and constantly come back from the grave all the time
