Bleh.
I'd play mechwarrior again but its too grindy
no creativity allowed
I have a white and green walking trash can with so many MGs we had to bolt one onto the outside of the arm and you're telling me creativity isn't allowed?
Seriously though the min/maxing really does suck.

I think spending 4-15 hours in game just battling to earn enough money for a mech, not even any upgrades, is absurd. D;

At least the cadet bonus sets you up nicely for your first mech. I've spent $95 on mechs so far...

This is why I've enjoyed Hawken more.
You can progress quite quickly and while it'd take an inane amount of time to earn everything, you can still get the basic stuff for every different playstyle after enough time.
I do think MechWarrior is the more superior game however.
It'd be perfect IF THEY DIDNT MAKE IT SO PAY TO ENJOY

I can't play Hawken anymore, the progression has brought me up to a level where I can't even compete anymore.

Yeah, its much more arcade-style than MechWarrior.
All about the rooty tooty point n shooty, and with quick manual repairing and all the power ups, you can be much less careful than in MechWarrior, which AFAIK, has no easy system for repair, if any.
Its more like Quake, and while it may not have as high as a ceiling as in MechWarrior, it relies on a different skillset.

No I mean it matches me against much better opponents than I can handle.

yes I can read
I'm sure if you played Quake for a year and hopped on a pub you'd die a lot too
They both have high skill ceilings, but different required skillsets.

No, no no no. When I started playing it I could stomp people, like, hard, but now it's promoted me well past the point where the other players are good enough to fight me to the point where I'm the one getting stomped.
"Admiral! Intelligence reports the enemy has deployed a titan!" "boy get the he'll out of the war room we have 6 fucking enemies and only one within immediate strike distance"
Any ideas where I could go to get a decent reference made?

For free or are you willing to pay?
Well...looks like everyone was ecstatic to see me back...

If they sent out a titan, why not send in Erin Jaeger?

Because we're a military with standards, and as amusing as it would be to shoot such a beloved character out of an airlock that might cause a few court martials.
Apparently this thing has an Intensity Rating of "High" (5.86).
oh man some people
I mention in a Skype chat that I'm currently arguing with somebody over why fetish content on /r/furry needs to be at least tagged as such, and he comes in "bro why do you always have to argue with people? it seems mean-spirited" so I calmly explain my position and why I'm defending it, and then he tells me not to take things so personally, so I explain that this has nothing to do with me personally this is about all the many people who have complained about this same issue before, so then he says that I just like to be mad and I'm not worth his time. Then when I point out that he's effectively trying to concede without actually admitting that he was wrong he called me self-righteous
Now I'm being told not to insult other people in the chat.
hold on I need a hysterical laughter break.
