okay that's okay.
i don't know your old innuendos.
Since there's been absolute silence about last choice, let's go to the next choice we must address: whether to move the Nexus RP here or keep it in the CF Forum. Discuss.
hmm... i'd still say the CF forums. still like the way the whole text box works there way less []'s and /'s and it shows you what you're going to post.

I don't really care from a personal point of view. I was never involved in the RP and I doubt I'll ever be.
On the other hand, the arguments in favour of keeping the RP in the CF forums and those in favour of moving it here both seem sensible enough for me to be unable to make a proper choice in the matter. I think it boils down to "pick your path and see how it goes" at this point.
(For clarification, the arguments being "CF thread = visibility of the avali community redirecting here" and "Nexus thread = centralized activity and open for everyone that got wiped during the ClusterFish affair")

I think we've already overstayed quite the welcome with the incident, and some users would not be able too participate due to the resulting bans. I feel that we need to move away from CF Forums and be more independent. We would also have more control and breathing room over here. Plus the text box here has it's own superiority in ways.

i say CF forums just because it is an avenue for new people to get here (Two new members came from there to here because of the RP!)
so

still though. this. we are in pretty short supply of some new blood, a fresh RP wouldn't be a bad thing to hook a few more people in.

I'd like to move everything here.
The RP hasn't been an avenue for newbies lately
anyway, what with its deader-than-discoperatingsystem status.
The only problem I'd have with that is that I
greatly prefer the CF editor. The background's much nicer than
STARK WHITE and we actually have a decent color selector with proper, vivid colors and a wide range instead of 4 of the same color in a row literally and random teal at the top with the options of
off colors instead of
vivid colors.
Seriously though why does the color selector have each row in a column be a single color? There are five spaces, USE THEM... and organize them better. Bleh.
Nyeh.

i still have no fucking idea if i can even change the color selector stuff. if i could, i'd totally make better colors available. and if i could edit the background of the editor. and if i could edit the damn thing AT ALL
*flops around on the ground like a fish out of water*
It appears the consensus so far is "keep in CF Forums". Very well. Next we have story problems.
Phazon. Dear god I want to get rid of this. "Phazon is canon" was funny exactly once. It either needs to be removed, or replaced with a plausible alternative.
Second is changes to the avali. First off, being nomadic and having a supercomputer capable of calculating everything sent to it instantly are practically mutual exclusives. One needs to go and I know which one you all will pick.
Second, the augmented reality is over-powered. It can completely simulate a situation, any situation, with little cost. Full sensory augmentation needs to have massive issues attached or AR is going down the tube with it.
Third, they need an outset as a faction. The Hylotl Empire are tech nerds who want to create a technology nirvana, Kineptics just want monastery-like peace and isolation for themselves, the United Worlds want to be the betterment of the minor races... what outset should the avali have? Keep in mind this will change how they act.

0. I haven't noticed a consensus.
1. Phazon was canon? What? When did this come up? I don't recall. Was it important? I hope not.
2. Supercomputer: Nope. That is kind of OP.
3. I don't see how AR is a problem. Augmented Reality is fine, hell, we in reality here are close to it. As long as we don't have AR that can somehow map out an entire building the moment the user enters it and stuff like that it should be fine.
Virtual Reality on the other hand with full sensory signals and the like would be harder. Of course it is also virtual and as a result I don't see why this is overpowered. Virtual is virtual, i.e. not real.
4. Do all Avali have to be part of a single faction? That seems stupid, especially given their pack nature, I imagine different packs would crop up with different beliefs. Just because everyone else has a sector-spanning-empire doesn't mean
everyone needs to. Maybe the Avali are often picked on by the larger more organized groups because of their scattered nature? I dunno.

-i forgot it existed more than once.
-Not necessarily exclusive to one another. They are nomadic, yes...but not on the home planet. Avali off the home world are nomadic and move from place to place (usually; some more permanent settlements may exist) whereas Avali on the home world...don't migrate a lot. The home planet is also probably where that AI is housed, as well.
-For one thing, it's not easily used by other races. At all. Another possible issue is that excessive use makes it impossible to tell real life from AR, or possibly getting mentally "hacked"/getting a virus of some sort in the neural jack. And reducing how much it can simulate would make sense, too. Make it more like a not-shit Google glass (Projects computer stuff into your mind which you can interact with, but can't go farther past that without causing stress by overwriting so much sensory info) and that fixes that issue.
-Idk what to do with this. they're new to space travel, and most Avali seen by other races in their "space" are merchants selling wares, or diplomats wishing to open up peaceful relations maybe?

But uh... Some to a lot of these problems would be solved with a complete reboot. As in, we start from scratch with fresh new ideas.

0. Everyone seems to be saying they like CF Forums better.
1. It was the reason why Galaxion was a clone (Remember that? Anyone?) and was the reasoning behind the existence of the GUARDIANs.
2. That totally wasn't the answer I was expecting, but hell, why not.
3. So VR dies and AR stays. I'm down with this perspective.
4. They were defined as one before. It was more sort of a loose definition of their claim to that area of space, though. Note that being separated into packs doesn't mean they can't have a global outset.
