On Borderlands: 1's story is more of an actual story/journey. But two is better designed and more fun in co-op. Seeing as the first could get boring real quick. Will eventually get around to owning the other Borderlands games. But as of yet I haven't so nothing on those.
i have 2.04$ on steam. can i buy anything cool with it? or is anything on sale that is cool i can get?

IMO BL2 is superior in almost every way, except for the weaker guns - which comes down to preference and game balance anyway. A gun in BL1 could last you 20 levels or so, and maybe even the entire game if you were good enough.
That said, a lot of the "top-tier" guns in BL2 suck ass, unlike in 1. That's one thing BL1 does pretty well.

Reks is surprisingly a LOT of fun in the right setting, like borderlands 2. Whole night with me, J Mourne, Icebelly, and Reks... Those were some damn good times.
