Now that more people are online and able to see this...
POLLS:
1. Would you like a thread made for the SRS BSNSS RP revival discussion? This way we won't keep getting these posts buried. If enough support is given Ehks has said he'll do it.

2. Would you like a thread for the Minecraft server? That way we can discuss modpacks/updates/suggestions/general discussion about the server/etc. without cluttering the main thread up and needing to sort through posts. Don't have the A-OK from Ehks on this one but I don't see why it wouldn't make sense, especially if the MC server becomes a big thing.

Also, what are the server specs? I've found that even with 8 people online, a 3-4 GB RAM / ~30GB HDD / 2 Core server would have severe lag, especially when people are exploring (which is one of the very important parts of Minecraft)
I don't know the exact specs but I think it's running on the same server as Retrospring so we should be fine.
Also, about mod authors not wanting their mods in a modpack: I'm pretty sure it would be ok as it would kind of be a private pack. Semi-private at least. Still, you should ask them about it anyway.
Yeah. I guess as long as we don't publicly distribute it (find a way for only Nexus members to access it) then it should be fine. 99.9% are fine with private packs.

I think both FTB and Technic can do that.

The problem with those being I think you need to send the pack in for updates, i.e. if a severe bug is found in a mod and it can be fixed, you need to resend the pack and wait for the people at [insert launcher here] to update it themselves. Basically we would have less control and it would take longer to update.

Then... I think the new Minecraft launcher can switch mods on and off with it's profile system. We could just use that.
The Minecraft server will not become a big thing.

Also, that's why we ultimately want to make our own modpack.

Eh, who gives a crap?
It'll be a private pack, right? The modders won't even be aware of it.
Also I'm in favor of a Minecraft thread!

Yes, but we still need a way to distribute the pack. The defualt launcher doesn't have a "download modpack" option.

We can just upload it to the server as an archive?

Upload it to the server? Does the server have a filesharing site on it?
I don't understand what you mean.

I can just place it in my public folder on the server. Anyone with the link would have http access.
I just worked 3 hours overtime!
But my bosses aren't pleased, they're pissed.
"Go home already you just screwed up payroll for everyone good job"

How does that even work?
Walmart is anti overtime, they have a strict budget for payroll.

So, does that mean they won't actually pay you for that?

They will force me to leave early the following day

I don't know much about walnut, but from what I just read on Wikipedia, they seem to be a prime example of how bad capitalism can get...

What?...
Valid response.
Anyway, we seem to have a Minecraft server now. What are your thoughts on that?
Ha! Some guy in warthunder chased me halfway around the map before I forced enough of a gap (Yak many balanced comrade) that he had to break off, so I turned around myself and ran him down, perforating his tail and cooking his fuel, the fire went off after I was forced to shift to another enemy though, so I though he was gonna get away...NOPE! He crashed hard and I got both kills.
