in my opinion... you have a major point... alot of things should have those tags for the safety of others innocence....

The subreddit seems to disagree. They act like I kicked a puppy by saying fetish content needs to be tagged. Ironically the only argument that has yet been offered is "well we don't KNOW for sure that it's fetish content"

Not in any official sense. This chat has a core of redditors and then their friends though.

I was part of a group like that but it went South pretty fast. Would like to be part of another but haven't seen any mentioned. Guess it's an invitation only basis?

Well this is kind of a branch off of another group whose leader kinda fell into a really needy and self-perpetuating depression like Marx used to be in, except he was also a psychopath or something, so finally his tantrums got so bad that an identical second chat popped up with everyone except him. Both chats are still active, I don't follow the old one anymore but I assume he has calmed down at least a bit, though the newer one has had some outside folks added in since it started though.

I mean I could ask if they would let you in but it's supposed to be an RP group, we just haven't gotten one going yet.

The one I was in was just an attempt at an all inclusive chat group but it fell apart when people decided it was the place for some very questionable rp. I think it got made again since then with stricter rules but I never rejoined it. 

I'm not asking to join necessarily (I dunno maybe not my kind of place) - just made me think. 

Update. He tried to say that all I ever do is complain and argue and everyone went "do you even pay attention to surge? He talks about games all the time" and then he says that he just ignores all talk of video games.

It's an unusual grey area: content that is in no way explicit or suggestive but is related to obvious fetishes (like inflation). Some are arguing saying that it's ok because it's not sexualised and therefore not strictly fetishy but in the case of things like inflation I have to wonder who would be interested except those with a fetish anyway.

I am agreeing with Surge as well... even if its slightly fetishy it should be marked as such... maybe a rating of how fetishy it is maybe needed but it should still be marked out.

and at that the time I am spending trawling through the depths of my ask.fm page is now totally justified.
