Some plot points and ideas will not change, such as the many factions, and the war they are fighting. The Precursors will not disappear, neither will the Qua'ada, but Phazon very likely will, unless someone suggests how to change it.
I may or may not (depending on support) modify the Avali as a faction to fit the universe slightly. Souls and the afterlife will stay unless I get too many requests to remove it.
i want to ask a question out to generally everyone here, would you rather...
see a loose reboot of the old RP like this, which could definitely work and be fun.
or see a new RP with a changed setting, plot, characters (somewhat), details and such?
yea for silvers idea, nya for my idea. go.
(07-27-2015, 08:08 PM)SilverOtter Wrote: [ -> ]If you guys want a good idea of the changes that will happen here, I can whip up an excerpt or two for the reboot-to-be, or at least how it would go as of now.
I mean an excerpt of RP, not a document.
...Anyone?
Hm. Both ideas are interesting. I'd like to get a more serious RP going again but how are we to ensure it doesn't fall apart like the last one?
I'd stay and debate this but I have to go get a needle stuck in my gums, my teeth drilled into, have liquid stuff poured into them, and then get them bombarded with UV radiation in a procedure that will probably take just long enough to be incredibly uncomfortable the entire time and then be still uncomfortable while my mouth realizes it has nerves again. TL;DR: Fillings. Yay.

anyone familiar with this game?
Oh man, what a blast from the past. Pirate anthro cat sidescroller right? I recall it coming as a free demo in what was one of the only three or four actual game CD I've ever owned, given to me for a birthday like, over a decade and a half ago. Was rather enjoyable, though since it was a demo, I never quite got to see much of it.
fuck TRPGs are complicated

i wanna see the changes yes. Also probably going to open a debate on the CF forums about it, if people would rather it be here than there.

Oooooooh.
I thought it was some diagram of a solar system or something...
Neat.
Galaxion held up two disks. One was larger than the other, and a deep, iron grey. The other was silver, and had a small hole from which etched lines radiated outwards. He brought them closer together, and deep purple spark jumped from one to the other. He stood up from the desk, disks far apart in each hand, and shouted.
"I have a positive for the effect."
He then handed the disks to the human who came up to the disks, and faced the pile of unique disks sitting at the back of the desk.
"Galaxion." was the words of someone behind him.
He swiveled around, facing another human, holding tablet shining with holograms.
"Commissioner Alphonse. Why the idle chat?"
"Not here for idle chat. You're commissioned." The tablet swiftly brought up a profile, showing the same word under the furry mugshot, and the human brought it into clear view.
Galaxion stared with a soulless gaze into Alphonse's eyes. "Try again, Sir. I have two more years before my rotation, and Deliah's project is our top priority."
"Negative. We're short this year."
"Then why not commission the scientists? They have the nerve to never do practical work."
"I admire your humor, Galaxion, but this isn't my orders. Oh, and give us a damn last name already. It's been fifteen years, you're 'disgracing' thin air by now."
Second excerpt coming up.
"Tank lance, the convoy is close to your position."
The human sat within the dark grey tank, patriotically adorned with a red eagle. "Confirm they're still coming through the pass?"
"Confirmed."
He stared forwards, a blindingly bright screen of the front view being the one source of light within the cockpit. "Convoy is cresting, get ready to fire."
A small, lightly armed truck rose up the small hill, the only exit to the valley behind it, and vanished in expanding flame.
He smiled with a great big grin. "We have them trapped."
"Soldiers, move in. Focus fire the exos, ignore the drivers. Command out."
The steep valley hills came alive, as teams moved out of every crevice. The exo-suits, cut off from each other's side by the tightly-packed convoy, desperately launched a barrage of plasma bolts from arm-mounted guns. The response was heavy bullets, pounding huge dents into the armor. Their weapons broke, the visors were smashed, and the exo-suit soldiers were no more.
The drivers cowering and powerless, the Republic soldiers squeezed into the small gaps between each truck and lifted the flimsy doors, staring in awe at the uncovered treasure.
"Command is gonna be real happy to see this foresight."
Also, what was that mysteriously vanishing posts about special effects?
