This is what a reboot would mean:
- We start from a beginning, an area for lots of characters to easily latch into the story. It would still be in a war, but it would be a lull in fighting to allow for characters to appear and meet up.
- Major reworkings of plot points, especially when such plot points wrote everyone into an increasingly small corner. Such reworkings would be the Republic being the designated evil rather than insanely evil, and the Republic no longer using zerg rush tactics with humans.
- All plot holes would be fixed because they would no longer exist. I don't remember how cloning was ever supposed to be overpowered and not at the same time anyways.
- A re-arrangement of some of the plot line, to move some fairly isolated plot points I liked to before the RP start so they no longer require the users to RP them into existence again. Case in point: the Paladins.
- Any of my characters would no longer start out in a position when they can take/build half an armory for their own purposes.
- Removal of some plot points that just did not work out. Gender change would be no longer possible through pseudo-magic, as an example.
Ow, my everything. I sign off as away due to a lack of much going on here (and the Spambox filter eating all the update emails), and then this happens. Well let's break it down point by point.
1) I'm okay with this, moving on.
2) ...I have a feeling someone more qualified and has been around longer would be more qualified to discuss this one.
3) Also okay with this. Next.
4) And hopefully this'll mean we can hook up and get some progress done, rather than jumping into the middle and derping around places.
5) I thought this was something already in place, but alright.
6) I'm okay with this.

Might be a good idea to do that, yeah...but it would have to be clarified that one could bring their old characters back to the new RP (Just altered to fit the changed details, of course)
It could certainly help clean up stuff, make past events more sensible, and actually make it...y'know, more serious and stuff. But the extent of the changes would need to be discussed first.

no.
if i get any joke reports now so help me i will ban whoever does that. for a day. it's not funny to make joke reports at all because it makes it hard to act on actual reports.

If you want an RP where all characters are working toward a reasonable, single goal with only little real-life time, go play D&D or Pathfinder. The reboot is a change in the story, not the spirit.
Is there a way to play DnD online?..
I mean, for free

Yes, you can take your old characters with you, but anything beyond the point of backstory is gone (rebooting to a day-1 does that), and the backstory might need modifications to accommodate new changes.
Some plot points and ideas will not change, such as the many factions, and the war they are fighting. The Precursors will not disappear, neither will the Qua'ada, but Phazon very likely will, unless someone suggests how to change it.
I may or may not (depending on support) modify the Avali
as a faction to fit the universe slightly. Souls and the afterlife will stay unless I get too many requests to remove it.

i want to ask a question out to generally everyone here, would you rather...
see a loose reboot of the old RP like this, which could definitely work and be fun.
or see a new RP with a changed setting, plot, characters (somewhat), details and such?
yea for silvers idea, nya for my idea. go.
If you guys want a good idea of the changes that will happen here, I can whip up an excerpt or two for the reboot-to-be, or at least how it would go as of now.
I mean an excerpt of RP, not a document.
...Anyone?
