Bottlenecked by the curveture means it can hit anything within the horizon and not beyond it because the shells arcing down of the shell would be impossible at railgun level velocity??
and if it's downscaled to let's way an infantry rifle/carbine can enjoy the advantage to a railgun with high velocity projectile without it being too bulky/long barreled with the elctromagnetic railing?
Also in acecombat the stonehenge shells are thermobaric/fuel air explosive than plain explosive
It still has all the railgun components though, it's just augmenting them with a conventional firing mechanism. Not that wild an idea for early model railguns. I suppose the thermobaric shells makes sense though.
I'm going to hold off on the discussion for a while, due to Ehks' illness. I want to avoid causing him stress while he is ill as said stress will weaken him, and make his condition worse.
We may be in the midst of a bitter argument, I still think courtesy is required.
Was anyone else slightly disappointed with Starbound when it released? I was, since I was hyped up so much after watching so many videos and seeing so many posts on the home page showing the numeral updates. I was hoping to make a giant laboratory with those gloop monsters doing tests on a planet I used the terraforming thingymabobs they said we'd get a while back on to make it look like Gallifrey. And I ended up just jumping planet to planet collecting minerals and fighting bosses which take way too long to craft the things to summon them with.
IDK maybe it's just me and my obsessive tendancies and playstyles.
I was heavily disappointed with starbound at most points in it's development.

Or for filling the gap of gunpowder/chemical powder charge firearm and larger electromagnetic railgun. Imagine, a short/bullpup 5.56mm carbine with the stopping power of a .50 anti material or even a 20mm.
Edit: okay, the traditional full metal(copper) jacket might not be able to handle railgun speeds but probably something harder and heavier like tungsten/DU with alloy jacket.
.....I shouldn't wake up and find both the garage door open and the home phone on top of the mustang.

The one thing that annoyed me the most was the characters wipes back then. It was really annoying to have to do everything over and over again especially if you played with multiple characters (we are talking about the vanilla game so forgot about mods for the moment). Anyways I do miss the old sector unlock system. It felt like you had to work to get to the more dangerous planets. Nowadays I think the quests in the Giraffe versions are pretty boring in imo. Who wants to make coffee for someone? Seriously? I am glad they took that one out... (it was a chain quest as well). Also summoning the bosses was a cool idea, but I don't think it took too much effort to get the materials. It gave you a reason to go to different planets. Chucklefish is also getting rid of the robot boss. It was a really cool idea to build a boss that ended up attacking you. I don't really care for the penguin mech boss which is what the developers replaced it with.
Btw everyone has different playstyles which is fine, so don't worry about it.
*Note these are my opinions on how I feel about Starbound. It's ok to disagree*
A large portion of why Starbound was mostly meh for me is because, while some of it's mechanics are good, it could never hold my interest for long and I felt no drive or need to progress.
And that's a huge problem.
I won't compare the two, but I'll use Terraria as an example. I've played it over, and over, and over, kinda like the old character resets... Except I'd do so happily.
Something about the way Terraria is paced, or how things feel fair and not very grindy at first, or the simple joy of finding chests and ore... All that needs to be said is:
If I have over 1000 hours in Terraria, and I would eagerly replay it over and over,
then it did something right, where Starbound hasn't (in that respect. Argue how good it is now(?) all you want, but if I don't feel the drive to play it, the new stuff doesn't matter much).

Do you sleep walk or something? The only thing I can think of is maybe you woke up, opened the garage door, placed the phone on the mustang, and then went back to sleep. It wouldn't be an impossible idea. I've met people who have told me they have done weirder things when they sleep walked.
Probably didn't close the garage when I took out some trash last night, as for the phone...I haven't touched it in days so I'm not taking responsibility for it.

You have a bad/old mod in the mod folder, probably.
Remove some, and try putting them back one by one

error.
Any mods that add quests, my best guess.

Terraria opinions
I used to like Terraria so much, but I've kind of lost interest in it. I just can't play the game by myself anymore or I will get bored. I have to play it with friends because I find it more fun that way imo. I mean 1.3 helped spark my interest in the game again, but once I played all the new content (even with friends) then I got bored again.
The Good - It has unique items, bosses, biomes, and npcs.
The Bad - It's not modder friendly. It only has ONE world which has boundaries even on large! You can't have both corruption and and crismon at the same time when the world generates (only if you get the seeds or the Clentaminator). I mean I get they did that for replayability, but not being able to summon ALL the bosses on the same world is really lame imo especially when you are playing on a server...
Starbound opinions
One of the things that really keeps me interested in Starbound is the modding. I love how the developers encourage modding their game. I love being able to mod for Starbound! Chucklefish has some pretty interesting upcoming ideas that will make Starbound way cooler imo. Also the looting system and dungeon placement in Pleased Giraffe is so much better now. Pleased Giraffe added a lot of interesting things to Starbound.
The Good - It is very modder friendly. It has planets that have interesting dungeons (thanks to Pleased Giraffe). It has instanced dungeons as well (and more to come!) It also has challenge gates with cool loot.
The Bad - Doesn't have as many unique bosses atm. The storyline needs to be reworked (which from what I hear is being worked on). The quests are lame besides the instanced ones (which those are being worked on as well).
Don't get me wrong I still like Terraria, but I am more focused on seeing where Starbound will go since it can have the potential to do a lot of things (and it is still in beta). I don't like how unfair people are to Starbound because they like Terraria more... Remember Terraria is a complete game with updates and Starbound is still in Beta with modding support and updates. I like both of them for different reasons.
*These are my opinions so feel free to disagree*
Finished some maintenance and cleaning on my PC
Holy Jesus that was a stressful skirmish, they started machine gunning my HQ with a superweapon the same time I sent my BMPTs on the offensive.

I just play them for different reason(s) (though I don't play Starbound anymore, and it's been uninstalled for months now)
I don't really see it as 'unfair' when one holds my interest after so long and the other one can't?
It really is just my personal perspective, not so much a comparison of different games.
