Also surge, what defragmenter are you using?

You do know the Windows one can be stopped at any time without losing its progress right?

it can, but if I stop it my files will get fragmented.
My family screams at each other so much

I'm getting sick of it.

i believe in you, ya tiny plush-like avali person thing, but yes you're gonna need those medkits/

Lets hope my generous helping of fluff will cushion the blow of bullets, swords, and electrified spikes!

Well, if the fur was made of graphene for some reason, it could potentially protect from the bullets. However, the electricity, not so much.
At this point we've past comical into the realm of tragic.
24+ hours of constant defragmentation.

I'm gonna go make some fucking dinner and then kill this defragger.

why does a person defrag a computer exactly?

Fragmented files are larger and presumably more difficult to access.

Remember that disk fragmentation isn't inherently a bad thing and as your drive gets fuller it will happen naturally. It's only a problem once the fragmentation becomes extremely heavy.

In fact, weren't you moving to an SSD? SSDs don't even fragment (well they do, but it has no effect)...

Actually I explicitly said I am not moving to an SSD. I'm moving from a failing 2TB HDD to a new 3TB HDD.
BLUH!
I forgot about my Tea sitting next to me for a few hours, so I went upstairs to microwave it...
Then I remembered our microwave has been broken for weeks.
...
I hate wasting stuff so I drank the tea cold. I feel sort of sick.
Ugh...

how is it not replaced yet?! Microwaves aren't that expensive...though uninstalling the old one might be hard...

I don't get how peoples' HDDs fail so easily. I have two laptops, 8+ and 5+ years old respectively, and both of them have never had any issues with the Hard Drive at all... I guess it's a desktop-only problem?

Gaming is very very hard on the drive. Constant reading and writing of fairly large amounts of data accelerates the wear and tear significantly.
Plus the Seagate Barracuda I had is apparently not known for it's longevity.

I think it's like 50+lb and it also served as a stovetop hood fan/light so I'm pretty sure the thing is directly bolted into our wall.
Thing's been having short circuits in the keypad for years now at random, and now it's gotten to the point where the keypad just outright won't function, so we can't use it.
My uncle was supposed to come over and help replace it but I guess my grandparents haven't heard from him or something?
All I know is the Microwave is a basic nessessity of life. I might have to move to my Dad's house if it isn't replaced soon enough d:

What the shit. Why would you bolt a microwave to the wall?
