Hey, you think Aeon was harsh? Seraphim fucking experimental. Produces nukes that takes two ASM just to shoot it down, and produces them at such a ridiculous and cheap rate that you would ruin your economy trying to keep up.
Oh how I hate the Yolona Oss so much, seraphim are so nuke happy, both in campaign and in skirmish.
Are they like radiation resistant and therefore never limited their use of nukes in the earlier years of their civilization or something? Would make lots of sense.

Okay. I'm gonna have to step in and mediate.
1. Unamused did not state that PA was better than SupCom. He said it was a fun game. It is, when you want some tactics without being too serious about it.
2. There is definitely some bias here. Nostalgia tinted lenses are all well and good, but other people like other things. If you prefer SupCom, then say so. Just don't force your opinion on others. And don't compare innocent opinions with the Holocaust. It's unappreciated, and unnecessary.
3. There were definitely some tempers there. I don't know people why were grumpy, and I don't care. If you're angry, then either we can help, or you can damn well go elsewhere until you're feeling better.
4. Ummmm...... Go play Elite: Dangerous?

Well, I did hear other people say that Planetary Annihilation (this is still what we are talking about, right?) runs poorly. So that's definitely not an opinion.
Other than that I would agree with you.

Depends on your computer, settings, and internet. For instance, I can run it fine on my Mac, but then, I have 18GB RAM
Lets just leave this issue alone though. We don't need another argument.

Nah, I put all my money on star citizen :d
Star Citizen has a lot of promises to deliver on. And remember, if they fall short on even just one or two, the media and fans will never let it go. I have high hopes as well, but ED already has a lot of content, and much more coming. For instance, planetary landings, and (don't quote me on this) flyable frigates and capital ships. Not sure about that though.

Nostalgia bias? What are you talking about?
Even if I was feeling nostalgia towards SupCom (I don't) it being nostalgic doesn't make my points invalid.
The game is only about 8 years old, for god's sake. I still play it to this very day.
And can we please have a discussion of games without somebody pulling the "Hurr durr your opinions" card?
If you like a game, then defend it. That's fine. Replying with "Yerr opinions matey" to an argument against whatever it is you are defending is not discussion, does not get us anywhere and will from now on result in me calling you Captain Obvious. Congrats, you figured out the definition of the word "opinion"!
Which Unamused's having trouble with apparently, because experiencing low framerate is apparently an opinion.

Low framerate is not an opinion, but assuming the game runs badly is an opinion, especially since you've admitted to not actually playing it.

Well it depends on how you define low framerate because some people I know define 80-100 as low.

I played it. I shut it off immediately after I've seen the low framerate.
I can't play with 8-10 FPS, what is this?!
Not to mention that many people have been reporting the same issue. This isn't just my PC.
I myself say 30fps is low, 60 is average and 80 is decent.
Remember I have shitty laptop with 4gb RAM and I can handle PA just fine. If you have lower FPS than me and more RAM that's probably too much stuff in the background and hard drive in need of clearing.
And I never said PA was better.
I said PA was a fun game and, in all fairness I said it's fun to have a moon as a Nuclear installation.
And I said it was cool.
And I never said anything about SupCom in the first place.

This is a shot in the dark but might it be something to do with drivers? I mean if bee has a decent PC and has 8-10 fps, and you have a craptop but 60 fps, it sounds like less of a hardware problem and more of a software problem, no? And unless bee is rendering high-end architectural models or CGI films then I doubt he'd have problems with it unless it somehow conflicts with something.
But I'm no techy expert so I might just be talking out my ass and all bee needs to do is spread some peanut butter over his ventilation.
