Anyways Flare's name cropped up in the starting team as a female assault, who spent a dozen or so missions somehow doing everything for everyone while the rest of the team paid for any mistakes she made, then she finally got fucked up and I stuffed her in a MEC, as is tradition, so yeah that happened. "I fucking hate you Flare" was uttered far too many times in one night.

Also I have Micheal Bay as a heavy trooper.

Also it's not that Flare was useless so much as it was that when she wasn't effectively belting out nat 20s everyone around her suffered the consequences. On one mission she ran out really far forward for a good angle on a mind merged sectoid, missed the shot, and then next turn both sectoids completely ignored her and instead took arguably the worst shot available to them, and both landed it, killing Patch.
Seriously once a zombie got up in her face, which can go bad fast with damage roulette enabled, and she critted it twice with rapid fire, saving anyone else from having to do anything at all.

Guys in the US, I have a mission for you, find Surge, go up behind Surge, poke him and run away.

One of the Instructors threw a kick I was meant to block, I did but their toenail caught on my elbow
They asked if I was okay and in all honesty I didn't feel it so I responded no.
A few minutes later the same thing happened and I decided to look and my elbow
Now a fountain of blood trailing down my arm and onto my uniform
I'm more sensitive than the French, how did I not feel this?

For some reason that popped up a 2:30 AM Idea in my head despite it being 8:50 PM.

It's been a hard month, we lost our top sniper and support, our top MEC recovered from a crit only to die on the next mission, we went through 2 more squaddie snipers before we ran out of them too.
