I've decided that despite being nonreligious, im going to attend church today, see if it does me some good to be around a lot of nice people.

Just because arguments happen and people (like me) effectively leave doesn't mean a community is dead.

Yeah, you've those who prefer Skype and those who prefer the forums, but until about 80% of either just decides to move on, you can't really call it "dead".

Slower? Absolutely. A bit more stale? Yup. Dead? Not yet, Mr. Firesword.

Now as much as I wish to avoid a shitshow on personal level, I'm obligated to disagree on a factual level.
When a community is in decline there is very much a threshold where it's not horribly unreasonable to declare it dead, in much the same that it's not horribly unreasonable to declare somebody with a fatal wound dead if you can't treat it. Technically they're still breathing but that's a temporary thing at best.
With that said I'm not sure I'd personally make that call yet, I think the forum nexus can still limp on and maybe recover.

I'm not sure how long it will last, but that was an, uplifting experience for sure, I feel much better now.

let it be known that this is probably the first and also probably last time on this forum that the spoiler function was used to hide an actual story spoiler.

anyways SC2...well I don't like SC2 as an RTS, but it really is a gem from a perspective of offering an engrossing single player experience. Even if the story doesn't catch you (which is okay, RTS games often do fail on some front with regards to story) the fact that each expansion pack has introduced a unique set of persistent mechanics that differ noticeably and interestingly from skirmish/multiplayer makes the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable.
