yes but that's also when yrimir says things get tough, but a properly built arena should still help, and potions, and heart statues.

This is why the Ninja Gear is helpful. Dash to get out of the way, and if you get hit, there's a chance you won't take damage.

True. It's what I already do with every boss. (please do remember that I've played as long as the game's been released)

Only problem is that here, staying in one place around the Moon Lord is not a good idea. If blocks stop his laser, I could theoretically throw up a wall with the Ice Rod (which I did before on the Saucer, too.)

We'll have to see.

Okay. So. I thought it would be a good idea to fight him on my skyrail.
I was wrong.
HOWEVER, that somehow got rid of all his arms except the Vice one.
Once I got on the plateau under my sky city, I was able to use a healthy combination of Golden Shower and the Seedler to take him down about 95 seconds before daybreak.
400 Health. No buffs. Used one potion.

And to think I got stuck on Prime in my first hardmode playthrough.

i'd suggest making a large arena, but i'm assuming you don't use a large world on single player like i do.

I was stuck on the Destroyer. Didn't have a weapon that could handle his probes fast enough (when they were loose) up until I got the Hex Doll.

Its just the twins and two eyes dashing at you at once and fire and lasers ahhhhh

But the destroyer is also a hard fight, though i always had some sort of piercing weapon.

Back in 1.1 i did surely die a lot to his probes and surely still do today. Because probes.

I actually built me skyway for two reasons:
1. so I can get around really easily
2. so I can get to the ocean without plodding through a bunch of biomes
3. it'll make the Twins a hell of a lot easier
I'm thinking of taking on them next, actually- I've got a mechanical eye.
