My copy of Halo Wars came with a UNSC Spirit of Fire sticker (for a car I think) and a prequel graphic novel, plus in-game goodies, then Mass Effect 3 came with a Velcro N7 patch, free Xbox avatar prop (only redeemable with Kinect...sellouts...) and in-game goodies.
A bunch of art and a custom case seems...light for a CE.
Steelbook and artbook are basically mandatory for a decent CE IMO - they are things that any fan of the game can appreciate, and are actually useful and interesting to non-serious collectors. I'd be disappointed to see a CE show up without one.
Soundtrack is a bit less common and I wish more CE's included it.
I feel like the formula that a CE should aim for is: art book, in-game exclusives and/or DLC, and a piece of physical merchandise, again, like a badge or patch or something to show off.
Obviously on top of a custom case.
The ultimate in satisfaction: post controversial opinion, get upvoted higher than more accepted viewpoint.

Same. I cant do much other than the boss missions, because it gets really repetitive.

In all seriousness though, it would be pretty cool to actually have a war with the Avali, and be able to have ties and shit. In fact, fuck just the Avali, make an overhaul that lets you play as a variety of popular races as well as the main races from Starbound. I honestly think that would be awesome. Have an inter-galactic war between the Florans and Peglaci, or something. Notice me Ryuujin! Plz.
The problem is that the Avali are generally peaceful, when that fails they nuke, railgun, mech and bomb the fuck out of you.

The problem with the necron is that it's more or less impossible to kill them permanently, so their relatively finite numbers are irrelevant. Essentially they're like really really deadly weeds, you take them apart whenever they crop up and rest up while they slowly pull themselves back together.
