We need to balance it around the best of the best, the veterans, those who have over 2000 hours spent playing Terraria!
Hardcore players like a challenge, so let's make the final boss nigh-impossible to beat for new players! Haha, that sounds like a FUCKING AMAZING IDEA.
*Sigh*
I don't think I'll ever manage to beat the Moon Lord.
...Assuming I ever even get to him.
(For some reason Planetra Bulbs aren't spawning in my Mage's world >.<)
Eh, don't let me make you pessimistic.
You can still cheese him with a Nurse.

Does the Moon Lord despawn if you go too far away? I'm thinking of cheesing him with the UFO mount.

He doesn't despawn until every player in the world is dead at the same time. But I think the UFO mount is too slow for that. Not sure though.

Nope.
ML cannot despawn.

It's barely fast enough to outrun him, actually.

I appear to have a plan. Since I'm in the second time I've activated the event (first time ended in failure), this means I will be in possession of all 8 celestial weapons. I already have the UFO mount (I got lucky with my arena design with the MM event, which is unfortunately too small to work with the ML)
Once I get back to Terraria.
Oh god Redigit please don't buff the Moon Lord more before I defeat him
The key to defeating the moon lord is teleporting to cover, i highly getting a rod of discord when fighting him.
The key is to not be a scrub.
(Also, having a Worm Scarf is essential due to its high DPS.)

But i play crimson.
Also i found out that one of my friends hates DPS.

Make an alternate world. It helps, especially since some items are exclusive to certain generate-bles.

Yeah, I had to do that for Celestial Cuffs.
I also got a Baby Eater, which is much better than the Baby Face Monster.
*throws thing of Nutella at you*

Eh, i trade with friends, i got the greedy ring so i just spam platinum at what I want.
redigit really should make the world able to generate both crimson and corrupt, I really wonder what's stopping that.

20% corrupt 20% crimson.
YES
I mean normal new world generation atleast what I see on crimson so far does spawn both east and west from spawn, one of them can be replaced with corrupt.

"Doomed world- For those who hate the early game"
Your spawn is immediately Corrupted, no forest. At one side of the world is Crimson, opposite to the Jungle, encapsulating the Dungeon.

Well, there's plenty of forest in a large world, who plays on small worlds in single player anyways
I guess I'm the only one plays on large single player?

Alright, how about all forests are replaced with a random selection of Corruption or Crimson? The wood from those biomes are stronger anyways.

But you cant mine through the corrupted/crimson stone with starter gear and difficult to get gold gear being unable to mine.

I only meant the grass. The stone is limited to the randomly-spawning ravines anyways.
