Is anyone excited for Fire Emblem Fates? The latest waifu simulator on the block that kind of borrows the Pokemon Aime mechanic idea... (Also it's ok to give me positive rep. My neutral rep goal thing was a joke... a very bad one at that)

So I just finished testing Ryu in Smash. He really sucks. Like, really fucking bad. Not much combo potential, low range, absymmal recovery, terrible airgame, lack of a decent sex-kick, low priority attacks... the list just goes on and on and on. I get the range and recovery things, but everything else is simply unacceptable. Also, cant wait for Bravely Second.

Oh yeah! I totally forget about Bravely Second and now they are talking about a Third one. There are just so many games I want, but I don't have time to play them all. Also I think Ryu doesn't fit for Smash Bros imo. I mean he is definitely a cool character and it was an interesting idea, but Street Fighter and Smash work too differently imo.

I want to play with him, but he's like a mix between Ganondorf and C.Falcon... and with none of the good attributes. Still, I have a friend (or rival, I guess) who swears by him, but he wonders why I beat him in 20 seconds flat with Roy. Everything about him is, at best, below average. Even Mewtwo is better. What would make him better is if Weak moves could cancel into other Weak moves or a Medium move, and Weak had more predictable knockback, if Medium had less KB, and could cancel into a Heavy. Everything else I can overcome, but when a character is just plain bad... I cant deal with that.
On a side note, I need to get Ace Attorney. I really like law, not really the stupid parts, but the way Pheonix Wright presents it is pretty cool.

git gud
I main Ryu and honestly I don't think he's that bad. You have to play him a lot like Mac, looking for openings and using your super armor attacks and just taking the hit in exchange for doing damage as opposed to not getting hit at all. Otherwise, zoning with the Hadouken, and pressuring with the aerials and the occasional spinning kick should do the job. Also, unless you're really desperate and need to throw out like 5 Hadoukens rapid fire there's really no reason to not be using his traditional commands for the Hadouken and Shoryuken.
I still wouldn't main him over Roy and Mega, but I think he's getting a worse rap than he deserves so early into his inclusion.

I memorised all the available commands (hadouken down-right right, Tatsumaki Senpyaku down-left-left, Shoryuken right-down right, and the multi-hit Hadouken is a half-circle), so I use his commands unless I need instant results. Ryu isn't heavy, so he isn't optimal for absorbing hits. Also, remember, Ryu's ''specialty'' are combos, but due to the fact that his attacks are either high knockback or high start/endlag, not only does he have issues with continuing combos (and the fact you cant cancel attacks into each other doesn't help), but his slow speed and low priority allow his opponents ample punish time, or just flat out rushing him. His high falling speed hinders his recovery, despite having 3 moves for recovery (albeit highly predictable, and catastrophic consequences for failing), and he also lacks a decent sex kick, unlike Fox, Mario/Doc, DK, and others with good combos. He cant be played offensively, due to his low speed and priority, but he cant be played defensively either due to lacking decent defensive options. His grabs are also below par, having high knockback at all stages, and also launching at odd angles. He lacks a reliable meteor, his range is pathetic, and he is outclassed by even Mewtwo or Lucas in all aspects. I dont see any way to play Ryu effectively. Bait and punish doesnt work well, and he lacks a lot of the gimmicks he has in street fighter. He's an absymal fighter.

now that's a hover board, not some magnet bullshit
I want one... *drools* Even more than a jetpack! Although what's its energy source? Solar? Kinetic? Fuel? Electric? I would imagine a small battery... Not very fast yet, though. All in due time! Gonna be expensive when it comes out though.
Off to bed. See y'all in a few hours!

Overwatch (upcoming team/class based shooter from blizzard)
Rainbow Six Siege (this one kinda went under my radar for a bit but I'm pretty hype for it now)
Tom Clancy's: The Division (this looks cool and it's coming to PC so I can actually play with friends, but I hope it doesn't do all the things that destiny did wrong. Also the whole graphics downgrade controversy)
Star Citizen's FPS module (basically the planetside/station/ship interior FPS combat portion of the game. The early public release is due in a month or so IIRC)
Just Cause 3 (JC2 was fantastic, and I feel like 3's really gone under the radar for the most part)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (HR was one of my favourite games by far in recent memory, stupid preorder scheme aside this looks like it builds on what made HR great)

> no METAL GEAR
wtf
It's already released so it would be kind of silly to say I'm waiting for it still...
