It's been attempted multiple times, the product has never had any more than a vague resemblance to a Tecarian infantry droid. I've tried it myself, I've tried to get other people to do it, it just doesn't work out.

I know that Starbound doesn't do that, and any mods and stuff won't be saved.
Plus, he'd have to redownload all of the games as well, and any mod work is gone as well...really, it is a pretty big loss, even if every bit of game progress was saved. No images were, no mods, no pictures, text documents, none of that. It's all gone.

Starbound has a save editor called StarCheat available, compatible with almost every mod, able to edit almost every attribute of a character, and it's really easy to use.
