Surge protectors, get one. Most power socket hubs have one built in.

That's what a circuit breaker is. A little switch that flips itself off when there is too much power.

usually it's a 13/10A fuse embeded in the 3 pin plug we usually copied from UK, I'm not sure does US plug have embed fuses in the though, all I know it's usually the 2 flat metal pins that could bend in the most inconvenient moment

also I'm suppose to think out a pun from your name, but I think of one.....
If gigabyte put a warranty on the board they don't want people to know about, I can't find any info.

a gigabyte board? I heard something bad about them recently(1 year or two ago) there's probably documentation or atleast mentioned by the distributor about the warrant
Found the warranty. 4 year manufacturer's warranty on all boards in NA.

well then....

A version for Skyrim has also been made, and almost certainly a Fallout 3 one.
Only a matter of time for Oblivion and Morrowind...
Apparently, lots of people really like Fallout 4's real-time looting menu...
...
I am still unable to decide whether or not I prefer it.
I find the menus constant popping up in cluttered spaces like a player-home's room to be very annoying and intrusive, and like the larger, more detailed menus you get from direct activation... But at the same time it's so much quicker and far more convenient...
I'd almost like it where it's just the "E) Loot" text, but if you press it, the quick loot menu pops up and then you can do stuff like take, or press R to open transfer, etc. (I would totally make a mod for this if I knew how.)

Should have made a separate toggle key.  IE press "Unbound" to activate/deactivate looting.  When inactive it won't pop up etcetra.  Really simple and obvious thing that I don't know how they missed.

On the other end. I hope it doesn't take too long to fix up your computer, or or much money. Surge.

The premise basically is that robots invaded the world and Kirby can pilot a mech now.

all I can think of

...Well, yeah. It's pretty similar to ride armor.
BUT it can copy abilities like Kirby can. The results are actually kinda cool, too.

That's what a circuit breaker is. A little switch that flips itself off when there is too much power.

But they aren't the same protection.

A circuit breaker reacts if there is a sustained excess current. Brief transients can exceed the breaker's allowed parameters and not trigger it, this is actually somewhat intentional to allow larger appliances to start up without nuisance tripping.

A surge protector contains a semiconductor device that only starts to conduct if the power line exceeds the maximum allowable voltage, no matter how brief that transient is. It attempts to short out such transients to protect the equipment downstream from it, and during large surges or lightning strikes it will in fact destroy itself doing the best it can to save your stuff.

Surge Protectors (I am noticing a pun here) have a service life because of that tendancy for them to be destroyed in use. They actually should be replaced every few years, although very few people actually do.

I personally prefer a UPS device for my computers. These Uninterruptable Power Supply units contain a battery bank as well as surge protection functions, filtering the incoming power line as well as providing anywhere from a few minutes to several hours of backup power in case the utility goes offline. The goal of most units is to allow you to save your files and make a controlled shutdown instead of a rude loss of power, but I have units myself that last long enough to keep the system running while an onsite generator is started and connected to supply power instead.
So a power surge was bad, the fact that it actually tripped the breaker is REALLY bad.
I got extremely lucky over the weekend!
One of my best friends got an Overwatch beta key from Kritzkast, but he can't even install the game due to only having a laptop.
Soooooo until he gets a proper PC together, he's letting me use his Battle.net account so the key doesn't go to waste.
I'm planning on paying him back with a video card or something.

But he has a Surge protector! What do you think all the power armor is for?
I'm sorry.
Not sorry.
Sorry.
So a couple of my friends convinced me to download LoL.
I have been playing nothing else for the past 3.5 days.

League isn't even good at what it is. It's the awkward middle child of MOBAs, DotA2 is more challenging and rewarding, HotS is more laid back and casual, and SMITE is more hands on and unique.

And thankfully I don't have to choose between any of them because I cannot stand the MOBA genre! \o/

I dislike Dota, though I can't speak for the other two.
I've been waiting to move so I can actually play League.

None of the others really interest me much.
MOBA players are weirdly masochistic I guess, people play SMITE for free when the cost of a regular game gets you all of the actual content it has and ever will have, people put up with the teams and foreign language shouting in DotA, people have SOMEHOW kept HotS afloat, and then people still choose the Internet Explorer of the bunch and willingly play League.

People have different tastes in games. If you have fun, what another title offers doesn't matter as much.

I personally have followed League stuff for a long while. I took a look at the others and they were largely okay-ish, but I already know enough that I'll enjoy playing LoL for a time.

Lucky.
Good news. Gigabyte accepted my request for repairs, now I just cross my fingers that they automatically ship a replacement board once mine shows up because I couldn't find any visible damage and they may be able to actually get into the BIOS where I couldn't.
