Oh god, I've been running on all cylinders for (almost) every waking hour out of the last 30 and it feels so goooood to be able to just sit down and relax.

You realize this grinds my gears in the field right? Its the difference between a 2 minute "oh switch these wires to fix it" and a 6 hour reverse engineering wire by wire to figure out what is supposed to go where.

Looking at those pictures though, I'm not understanding that architecture at all. The software you're using does things in a strange way.

Blame this company, though the wires are kinda color coded and the labeling is mostly in an in out "ports" between modules of the IO mapping whatever it's called, I'm not sure are there any tutors on lab view and hardware I/O port manipulation.

There's also the fact this company constant use of graphical programming that I clearly never learned from college,

Back here in Delaware, we had a +90 f (32 c) day in January. A couple weeks ago it snowed. These are some strange times.

Okay some update on the gralhical programming stuff:

Turns out the "components" I've given doesnt not effect the I/O mapping portion, it was in a .net file that I didnt copied....(P32C32DeviceTestControl part)
Also the secondary requirement of swapping port number is impossible due to hardware limitation.

Graphical programming... yuck. Though it did work for Lego Mindstorms, you could get much better cycle efficiency and performance coding by hand the old fashioned way.

Though they probably do pay you better than what I get paid. I need to find another job, one that actually uses my engineering and programming skills. Maintenance is fun and all, but most of the time I'm overkill for the job.

I just realized. I agreed to work overtime on my D&D night.
Oh, by the way, you people involved in the Semisrs Rp...
I've started something up that may or may not tie in with the people who've been around for a while.
