Full view of the sword. Looks awesome, but does need some attention. Smells like it's been in a small space for a long time with a bunch of oil and parts, which makes sense because that's exactly where it came from. Dad found it while he was cleaning at the racetrack he works at, and since it had apparently been there ages and nobody knew where it came from, his boss let him take it home.
The hilt. The grip is some non-magnetic metal of some description. The part of the guard connecting the blade and grip is plastic, unfortunately, and the part of the guard attached to the side of the grip seems to have partially broken off. Kind of pointy, gonna have to sand it down a bit. Fluffy pommel thing is made of stuff. I know so much about swords.
End of the scabbard. All three adornments here (2 here and 1 in the last picture) are plastic, but the main body of the scabbard appears to be... I want to say Aluminum? Not sure. The chain appears to be rusted, unless it was made to look that way. The chainlinks have a fancy design but none of the pictures really get close enough to see it.
The blade itself! Pretty standard, and surprisingly solid. Also kind of dull, as is to be expected. It's made of stainless steel. I know that because it very helpfully says "Stainless" in small letters near the base of the blade. Asides from the grip, pommel, and maybe the body of the sheath, only part of the blade really worth keeping around. Considering taking it apart and making my own sword from it some day, replacing or removing the parts I don't like with some proper metal pieces, but I'd need to make them, and before that, make a way to make them and get the materials, so I think I'll pass for now.
