Well I was slightly serious, the Ogre has a reputation for being able to rip tanks in half. It can't actually do that but its massive claws and arms are explicitly built to rip into combat vehicles.

the most it would be doing is damaging weapon housing/turreting and mobility.  Designating it to rapidly disable rather than destroy them.  Which in this case may as well be the same thing on the battlefields of battletech.  So there wouldn't be any rip and tear, just a lot of sarcastic "oops, I broke it."

Remember armor in BT is all purely ablative though, the armor panels are explicitly designed to come off and simply be replaced. A 1,500kg suit designed to rip and tear through ablative plating would probably put a serious hurt on most light or medium vehicles. Also remember that a modern MBT would be classed as a heavy vehicle by BT standards. The Ogre also uses Heavy Battle Claws, which are as a technology intended for ripping armor off of battlemechs. Sarna doesn't specify any further details on effectivity but I doubt you could expect much against an Atlas with one.
Why do you think I said disabling may as well be counted as a kill? It wouldn't even have to go through their armor. Just damage the weapons and maneuvering capability (rip the tracks on tanks out fold the tires in or just play scrap the turbofans or whatever type of hover tech it's using. And bam, it's basically dead unless the crew exits and starts shooting somehow. But then they're mince anyways.

It'd be easier and faster, plus you can salvage pretty easy, or in the case of military forces, refurbish and re-use or scrap for material and parts.

Literally the best sport ever.

I really don't understand everyone's issue with Skype.
Sure, it isn't great, but it isn't that bad either.

It's pretty much the worst of any existing options, even IRC is better by virtue of being lightweight. Skype is buggy (timestamp display issues and stuff), has poor multiplatform support, eats memory for breakfast, the file sharing is horrible (I think it still uses FTP or something), barely any inline media support.

Also the security is bad. Pretty much having skype on exposes your IP unless you're behind a VPN or some similar configuration. Lookup skype IP resolver, there's several free ones which work with only the username of the person you are targeting, no bots or contact requests or anything, totally silent. I'm pretty sure the result sticks around and stuff too so to fix it you need to restart your router (with variable IP) and flush your DNS, and that's not even considering the sites themselves caching previous requests.
Skype also uses a central Microsoft server as a middle man instead of simply sending things directly back and forth between users iirc.

I wouldn't use Skype if the people I talked to used other options, but unfortunately they don't.
pleasant exchange to have with a mod

"lol reminds me of that guy we banned earlier, what a dumbass right guys?"
"can we fucking not? you banned him, nothing further needs to be said about it in an echo chamber like this"
"he was a dumbass though"
"I don't fucking care it's a shitty thing to do talking shit about somebody once they're gone, I want better than that for myself when I'm gone and so I won't tolerate any less for anyone else"
"people can talk shit about me all they want nobody will believe them, people are just shitty sometimes, stop caring about everyone and just ignore the raging assholes"

Yes this is going to be a vent post.
The most annoying part of this is that I've been telling myself for weeks "no you have no reason to be mad at or hate him you're just being bitter and jealous of somebody again" because he's always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason and then BAM he's a dickwad. I just...it makes me sick to see a lack of respect for people like that. I understand when people have burned bridges and brought disaster upon themselves but there's no reason to bring it up once they're gone and dwell on their misfortune at their expense.

Aye. I feel the same, but everyone refuses to switch to Discord.

I'm not certain what you're getting at with these posts, but I think my response would be along the lines of "Get over yourself."

What's wrong with missing a few commas and a question mark?
