Until you take into account laws made to prevent such things as that. Such as the one where gun parts are required to individually be listed as well or they count as concealed weapons alone, each part does. Made just so people who think they're too smart for the system get overruled.
I've seen most macross's fighter or variable fighter or valkyrie usualy they have two engine/nozzle so then when they transform to gerwalk/mech form it became their legs/feet, but I wonder how silly a single engined/nozzle varible fighter would be in gerwalk/mech form, would they have just one leg?
Implying they don't already look silly

Well it's just kinda like your basic mech except the main box hull is replaced with a fighter front fuselage, supposedly weaker but not forget they're agile.

Actually a dedicated mech could be made faster because it wouldn't be weighed down by a useless propulsion system. The regular mech would also have much more room for armor and weapons. There is no advantage to land-air mechs.

so I assume everyone has seen season 3(I havent :I)

ಠ_ಠ
Even if you assume everyone's seen something don't go posting major spoilers.
That said, I doubt many people here even know RWBY.
I've seen season 3, but that doesn't mean everyone who does know it does.
Also obligatory: TOO SOON!
I've heard of it because somebody posted a reaction gif of it and when I asked the source they got creepily enthusiastic.
All I know about RWBY is:
  1. Somebody has this huge red scythe. It's either superpowerful or famous, because it ends up in the strangest of places on the net.
  2. It's an anime that is making it's best to be progressive by using 3D animation instead of the usual traditional artistry.
I officially have 400 hours put into Terraria... I am fine with this.

1. It's called Crescent Rose, wielded by Ruby Rose. Considering EVERY weapon in the show, barring like... one, has all sorts of cool abilities, it just stands out because it's the "main main" character's weapon... And it's a freaking collapsable scythe that turns into a high-calibur sniper rifle. Of course people love it.
2. Not an anime, technically. While I'm not one of the freakouts that goes around yelling at anyone who says it is, it's "technically" western-made web animation that's done in an "animesque" style. Lots of people rage about it being called one or the other. I don't give a flying frankfurter about what category it's placed under.

Also, the main characters hunt monsters and every weapon is also a gun.
Hell, one of the main characters has shotgun. fucking. gauntlets.

It's Monty Oum's (late Roosterteeth animator) pet project of sorts. He started it under the company and brought together a team of animators to make the RWBY IP, though I think he passed around the end of the first season so Roosterteeth has just picked up from all the notes and stuff he had on it.

I don't think it's trying to be progressive, rather Monty was only familiar with 3D animation. Before RWBY he did the animated fight scenes for Red Vs Blue in the later seasons and some other work, and before joining Roosterteeth he did some fan works like Haloid.

I haven't kept up with it either but to my knowledge there is nothing special about the scythe. The basic premise of the show is that there's evil bad monsters, and there's people who fight them called hunters or something like that. Hunters use special weapons imbued with a magical dust, meant to fit their fighting style. The scythe is Ruby's (the main character's) weapon, and I don't think there is anything special about it over the other weapons in the show except for the fact she designed and built it herself.

The show just takes place in a hunter training academy called beacon, where prospective hunters go to learn the trade. In their curriculum the students are broken into teams of four, with Ruby's team becoming RWBY (the initials of the four team members), hence the name.
