Could have said a lot more, didn't because it would have seemed like I  was trying to be edgy.

That's a fungus.  The worm is actually the one that survives by making it's host get eaten to get new hosts.  Stands at the tips of grass near other animals like cows and such.  There's also brain flukes, but those are just burrowers.
I said stop because I'm getting nauseous.

Then don't read them.  You have to make the conscious choice to read them after all.  I'm sorry that that is your reaction to it though.  Used to be mine too, then I realized:  Modern medicine is great.   Plust I have three different life insurances.  Thank christ too.  I don't feel like paying 12K for an emergency room visit.  Eesh.

Now where was I?

I meant stop posting about this.

So, you've read every little label, and every shirt tag you've ever seen?  On every window, every car, every box in every store you've...   I know the answer.

Yes I am a smartass and a dumbass.  I am also captain of obvious things that nobody else thinks are obvious but should.    Time for lunch.

Either of you played Sid Meier's alpha centauri before?  Mind-worms.  :U

worms are some scary shit as parasites, mind-worms kind already exist, they go after bugs, hijack their bodies and make them drown themselves.

there's also the fungus that infects ants, grows out of them, and forces them to go to th highest point before the fungus spreads its spores on more ants
it's what the zombies in the last of us are based on, actually.
You see the plus side here is that these all go after bugs, not mammals, and nobody gives a shit about bugs.
Oh even the admin is joining in...

Fuck I'm out of here, later.
don't let the door hit you on the way out :V

It's just a bad sign when even the administration joins in.

Eh...
Implying ehks pays that much attention to anything that happens here.

Cordyceps Sinensis, which is mostly seen in caterpillars in china and is currently being experimented with for use in fighting cancer.  It's also been used medically for a long time in things such as muscle relaxants, minor relaxants for irritations such as coughs, and to fight some neurologic disorders.  And yes I did just do a bit of research to get this.  No former knowledge.

Is there a proper admin around?

Odin has admin access.

Let's please not take potshots at people. You of all people should know it just causes shit.

Y'know, if it was easier to get into and wasn't a VERY risky career choice, I'd try something related to mycology.

I know medicinal mycology is a thing (as you pointed out with the medical applications of Sinesis), and also very, very well paying... I'll have to look into things.

Still fully intending for meteorology, but I might consider that as well.

I know full well how easy it can be to accidentally (sic) what surge is doing with his potshots.

I have little knowledge as far as mycology or meteorology.  I wish I could get further into that side of the conversation with you but I can't.  My post was just less than 60 seconds of research done on the spot on the active topic of conversation.

Though

Thanks to minor explosives studies and science classes in school I have very minor knowledge on chemicals though.  And I work as a janitor, so it helps quite a lot to have that knowledge.  Scraping gum (or worse things) out of carpet is a pain if you don't know how to work around with or past it.  Or how to use it to your advantage.

Eh...

i'm sorry that i find the discussion of parasitic fungi and such very interesting and want to add to it.
if you want to leave, go ahead. no one is stopping you. it wasn't an argument, no one else took issue with it, and thus there's no reason for me not to say something on a subject that interests me.
the forums do not revolve around you. i am not a robot who isn't allowed to talk about things that interest her because one person finds it mildly uncomfortable. you are not forced to stay, or participate in discussions that do not interest you.

Ehks already responded, but I'mma reiterate in different words:
It isn't an admin's job to stop discussions people don't like. It's an admin's job to stop discussions that are against the forum rules or that causes flame wars, etc.

It's more like a Cop casually discussing something unpleasant with a Civilian that another Civilian overhears and doesn't like, at which point Civilian Two barges in between the Cop and Civilian One and tells them to shut up because they're making him uncomfortable. Which is ridiculous.
