Orcs in Total War Warhammer seem to be the perfect faction for me. The Empire and Dwarfs favor defense focused siege tactics, though the Empire trades away the superior melee backbone for actual cavalry, good cavalry too. Chaos uses fear and confusion as the anvil upon which they strike with warriors and monsters. The Orcs simply offer up a wall of bodies and steel that crashes into the enemy with enough force to overpower lesser armies, while their goblin minions provide just enough tactical flexibility to thwart clever foes.

MFW TW:W informs me that the enemy lost 3000 men to my 360 casualties.

I'm still here, lurking on occassion.

Not much really happens here that actually needs any kind of moderator attention though, and I seldom have anything meaningful to contribute. My life has been uni, time is a commodity.

I'm not the kind to so nonchalantly ban people and I think you'll find neither is anyone else on the staff here.
Implying we have staff here :V

Honestly like, what do you actually expect me to do around here?
Nothing that's why I say we don't have any staff.
TIL Sega made one of those pseudo-VR videos you can watch on mobile to promote Total War Warhammer.

Those always impress me honestly but it just felt kinda hectic in this case, always felt like I was missing half the stuff they were trying to show me on account of a narrow and forced FOV

One a more fun note I finally solved the fallout 4 bug of the invisible zeppelin.

Malaysia isn't the middle of nowhere though.

Its the strange and mysterious land inhabited by offshore servers, used by Americans and Europeans for things that would get them in trouble if those servers lived anywhere near their home countries. At times I've considered putting a server there to contain content that people might find politically sensitive or offensive. But I would just as soon not host such things to begin with.

I've always wondered why the Malaysian government didn't crack down on that sort of thing, but they might be scared of the economic impacts that doing so would trigger.
Can we not get into international politics. Governments are corrupt as a pretty much universal fact of the times and there is no need for us to get patriotic and bash any other country in particular.

Well because the net here is bad, prone to shark attacks and our government is just a bunch of lazy corrupt rich fatass sitting on the throne babbling on their 2.6 billion RM

trust me if you're having a server here prepare for poor ping and massive packet loss, lost alot of multillayer games because of that, or illegal repetitive chinese ads for sites/forums/blogs

And yes, the 2.6 billion RM has become a running gag here now

Did your government tell you it was sharks attacking the cables?

Because it probably isn't that- that only happens a time or two a month at most and more likely once in a blue moon.

The real reason that the connectivity there is bad is because of DDoS attacks launched against servers residing there. Being a hotbed of illegal activity from the perspective of the rest of the world, there is no other way to dispose of a server containing something you don't like than to straight up shoot it out with a flood of traffic that it is unable to withstand.

All of these attacks going on at once means Malaysia's connectivity is constantly swamped to the breaking point, occupying almost all available capacity with saturation attacks round the clock aimed at the various illegal content hosted there.

It would clean up tremendously if Malaysia decided not to allow servers containing that sort of thing anymore, but again this would have a serious economic consequence as people currently employed tending those servers and their relevant infrastructure would lose their jobs. The country benefits from the regular infusion of American and European money into such things.
This should lighten the mood

Speaking of meteoric metals you hear that King Tut has been confirmed to have been buried with a sword made of meteoric iron?

Or the internet services/infractructure here are really poor, I mean singapore isnt that far down south and they got like 1-5Gbit/s internet service, here we're lucky to get 10Mbit/s.
So I'm lying in hospital with an IV in my arm.
Joy.
Interestingly the arm with the tube in it hurts less than the one that got savaged by a learner nurse a year out of Uni. Oh yeah. That isn't surprising at all.
Dare I ask WHY you're in the hospital?
