I didn't say led, just given a place to express itself. The forum game would be easy to set up and requires little coordination.
Well we already have the RP but you are welcome to try and get something rolling.

Mostly about being so great and powerful ye broke Chucklefish.

What I see here is in comparison... pathetic.

Is that meant to be a legend.

Specifics aside, essentially the crux of the problem was that the group as a whole had become so outwardly obnoxious and annoying that the mods had to confront the group about it, then basically said "we're either putting the hammer down or you can go somewhere else where you can do whatever you want" and some people thought that was unfair, kicked up a stink, and then the former option was no longer an option.

And that basically made a lot of people stop caring because it was too much effort or something idk. Leadership has existed somewhat, but that doesn't change the fact you're dealing with a mostly unmotivated group of people who don't want to put forward the effort to improve the community, even if it's improvements they want(ed) to see (for instance, people who, despite wanting a chat client, found logging into an IRC chat too taxing to bother with for more than about a fortnight).

My god, this is among if not the greatest warfighter I've ever seen. It has: four large 8km x 8km continents, pretty good graphics, a rewarding upgrade system that doesn't make people op, a vr training where all weapons and vehicles with upgrades are free for you to test, a maximum of 6000 people per server, 2000 per continent, and ,the best part of all, it's all for free (and it's not p2w).

There are only two major problems with the game. It requires a fairly chunky pc to run. It has a STEEP learning curve cliff. All in all, everyone should check this game out. It is somethin' else I tell yah'.

Vanu be with you.

Across multiple communities I've discovered the group as a whole never wants to really do anything. Individuals like yourself will try to start something and nobody wants to because "none of us know you. Why would we join you?" Your idea of community is differeant than other people's so saying "there's no sense of community" is an opinion.

To be honest this is the first one I've been to that's been laid back enough that they didn't start a shitstorm the moment I showed up because they felt all elitist. Maybe that's what makes you feel that way. That nobody is instantly basically telling you that you're bad and you should feel bad? We could ablige if you wanted, individually. But we'd probably get in trouble. Ehks would skim through it and yell at everyone wondering what the hell we were thinking. So we welcome new members rather than insult them. Because thems the rules.

You, need to do more research about what the groups members consist of recently...  You'd, probably blush.  I play all three teams, there is no point in favoring one.  You are a fool to limit yourselves.  Design philosophy in planetside 2 is a joke after all.

Those who fight freedom fighters always consider them terrorists.  Those who fight the advancement obsessed group consider them tech-fuckers.  Those who fight the leading power consider them tyrants.  It is possible to be both right and wrong at the same time.
I'm really not in the business of pointing blame here. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me, and twice now I've learned the hard way that laying blame for the decline of a community not only fixes nothing it just burns bridges and makes things worse.

Blaming others is pointless.  All it does is point that you're an issue.  Generalizations are pointless too.

Can we change the subject to something worthwhile like anything else?  Anything.

Like Gorgeous Freeman or Good Mystical Morning.

Or music.  Music's good.

I never get to just talk music on equal footing with people. Instead of talking about how great of an album Wasting Light is I have to explain who the Foo Fighters are to somebody that will never listen to them.

I've known of the foo fighters since I was in highschool.  often hear them used as background music around where I live.  Or on the radio.  my issue is I don't often look for music.  It just occasionally finds me.  One way or another.

Yeah I never like to totally turn off artist discovery on Slacker because that keeps me from hearing bands like Aranda and Slo Burn.
Names don't stick with me more than a few seconds. Mostly, so if you were expecting much from me. Not going to get it. x.o

Though I've actually bought three arrangements from Adrian'von Ziegler. Which was funny as my sister had discovered the guy the same time separately.

Music is weird though, I don't think that's anyone's fault just like... it's so diverse and subjective that it's hard to talk about or get enthused with other people's musical interests unless you share genres/bands in common.
It is, whereas movies are the least subjective. (Every side of a movie is forced upon you with little interpretation allowed usually) Music can create hundreds of different things with a single song. Games even are at least adaptive to some extent to a player. But music? Music is different for everyone. Two people who love the same song could hate each other because they see it differently.

Note: I personally despise movies, think them low on the level of artistic expression. But still it's my opinion, that they appeal to people who do not want to think about anything.
I personally haven't had much motivation to post or share much of my art

I don't really get feedback and seldomly have interest shown in my other pursuits (Let's Plays, ect), but that's probably my own faulting for not attempting to be more active.

On the topic of the community, yes, we used to be a lot larger. That was mostly back when the Avali mod was still in active development by Ryuu and Starbound was in its infancy. When Ryuu began to back off from Starbound is when the community started to really suffer, since the glue we were all connected by (the mod, lore discussion, and discussion in general) started to fall apart. Add on to that drama which ended in a few very high-profile members leaving and... Eh...
I think we had around 26 threads on the CF forums if you count the first Mod thread before the great Mod/Community thread split and the couple of unofficial community threads that were made in Ryuu's absence before eventually breaking off and making new official threads on our own. That was the high time of the community, really. Now we're like...
...Something. I don't even know. The Avali was what brought us together and now that subject itself is an afterthought at most, and our other interests are very varied and scattered. We did try to set up another Starbound server if I recall, and there was a very brief stint of Minecraft. The problem is the frequenting-community's shrunk so much that we can't get enough people at a time to even make server-running worthwhile. Game nights don't work either if everyone's in different timezones or not online.

And I have absolutely no idea how we can fix this, or if it's even possible.

AUGH! I forgot you were LPing things!! I'm so sorry my memory is terrible x.x

And I know the feeling with being disinterested with the RP... I'm trying to be active in the Semiserious but I just can't seem to stay interested...

and also there's the SECRET THING which may or may not actually exist are we ever gonna mention that assuming it is a real thing that will be mentioned or what
random stuff:
somehow ant in my house have sort of "gasoline"/"butane"/"flammable stuff" scent, I wonder have they been eating gasoline or any sort of flammable fluids, I wonder can i set fire on them or their nest
